The Moto X Play deals

Motorola released two great handsets late last year in the form of the Moto X Style and Moto X Play. The latter turned out to be the real highlight with its cheaper price, 20MP camera and fun but durable design. We loved it in our review and if you're looking for high end spec without a massive bill, this is probably the Android phone for you. It's one of the best cheaper phones you can buy right now, and networks from around the UK are all offering particularly good deals for the Moto X Play. Plus the phone is free, which always helps. Sadly there was cashback on this deal a few months back and it seems that won't be making a comeback anytime soon. That said, it's still great without the extra cash. Total cost over 24 months is £624.

It costs a lot per a month to get this 10GB package, but it also has £200 cashback to make it a little lighter on your wallet over the two year period. If you're after a lot of data, this is the choice to go for. Total cost over 24 months is £999.76.

Best Moto X Play deals from iD

The in-house network from Carphone Warehouse
Free 16GB phone | 600 mins | 5000 texts | 2GB data | £25.50pm
ID is normally the network to go to for a cheap SIM only deal but it also offers deals on premium handsets. ID only has only got one deal this month for the Moto X Play, but it's quite a good one. Compare this to other 2GB deals on other networks and this one is quite impressive. Total cost of this contract over 24 months is £612.

Best Moto X Play deals on O2

The network with extras like O2 Priority

Sadly O2 is only offering up a few deals for the Moto X Play this month so there's not all that much to choose from. This is our favourite though as you can get the phone for free at £31 a month with 3GB of data. It's not as good as the deal was last month though, the free Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet that O2 was offering now seems to have ended. Total cost over 24 months is £744.

The only other deal worth looking at on O2 is this one with 1GB of internet. It won't suit most, but if you're looking for one of the cheapest contracts over the two year period it may well be the best choice for you. Total cost over 24 months is £660.

Free 16GB phone | 500 minutes | unlimited texts | 500MB data | £23.50pmWe've included a further deal from O2 this month, but be warned it's not particularly good. It's cheaper than some of the others out there, but it only offers a disappointing 500MB of internet. That's not likely to get most people through the first week of the month. If you're buying the phone mostly for calling and texting, this could be suitable though. Total cost over 24 months is £564.

The network with unlimited data
Three still isn't stocking the Moto X Play, and we've lost hope it ever will. It seems the network just isn't interested in offering unlimited data for the newest Motorola range.
